West Ham vs Liverpool bet-builder tips

Bet-builder tip 1: West Ham or draw

Both sides will be looking to bounce back from poor results. West Ham were thrashed 5-2 at Crystal Palace last Sunday and Liverpool were beaten 2-0 at Everton in Wednesday’s Merseyside derby.

Jurgen Klopp’s side struggled to defend against set pieces at Goodison Park and they may well face a similar examination tonight against a West Ham side who present an aerial threat and have one of the best dead-ball exponents in James Ward-Prowse.

The Hammers have already beaten Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United this season and, with Liverpool’s morale down, we can see David Moyes’ side getting at least a draw in this one.

Bet-builder tip 2: Virgil van Dijk 1+ shot on target

Virgil van Dijk is a key player for Liverpool at both ends of the pitch and so often he’s one of their biggest threats from set pieces because of his height and heading ability.

The Netherlands captain has had seven shots in his last five games, including one on target in the midweek derby defeat at Goodison Park.

He averages 1.1 shots per game in the Premier League and should have plenty of chances to get one target, especially if West Ham exhibit the same defensive frailties that were evident in the 5-2 defeat at Crystal Palace.

Bet-builder tip 3: Mohammed Kudus to score any time

West Ham will look to Mohammed Kudus for a big performance this weekend with the Ghanaian already on seven Premier League goals for the season.

He averages two shots per game in the Premier League this season and has had 36 shots in his past 12 appearances for the Hammers.

Liverpool were open against Everton and have also shown deficiencies against Atalanta and Manchester United in recent weeks.

We’re opting for Kudus to score to take the bet-builder price up to a tasty 14/1.
