Bet of the day

Brest to win to nil vs Reims – 21/10

Brest appeared set to finish best of the rest in France’s Ligue 1 for much of the season, but they have slipped behind Monaco over recent weeks and now face a battle with Lille to finish third.

The visit of Reims on Friday looks like an excellent opportunity to claim all three points – as the visitors are destined for a mid-table finish and their form has tailed off now they have little left to play for.

Reims have lost their last three games and are winless in five, while they suffered a 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Brest’s form at the Stade Francis-Le Ble has been key to their exceptional season and they can make home advantage count by picking up a vital victory on Friday night.

Les Pirates can also get the job done without conceding, as they have seven clean sheets in their last 10 home games and have conceded just 13 goals in 16 league fixtures on their own patch this season.

Special of the day

Andre Ayew to score anytime & Le Havre to win or draw at Nice @ 13/2

Le Havre have taken four points from their last two games against tough opposition in the shape of PSG and Strasbourg and they can continue their survival push by securing at least a draw at Nice, who have managed just one win in their last five at home.

If Le Havre do get a result it may be due to the efforts of in-form forward Andre Ayew.

The veteran Ghanaian has scored in back-to-back games ahead of Friday’s clash at the Allianz Riviera and can continue his hot-streak against Nice

Long shot of the day

Famalicao to win & BTTS at Chaves @ 17/4

Chaves’ demotion from the Portuguese Primeira Liga will be confirmed if they fail to beat Famalicao and the best they can currently hope for is a place in the relegation play-off.

The Flavienses have endured a woeful season with a league-high 19 defeats in 32 games, and Famalicao can end their survival hopes with a victory at the Municipal de Chaves on Friday.

The visitors come into the game after an impressive 2-0 win over Benfica and they can follow that up with a success at Chaves.

However, the hosts have to go all out here and can at least make a game of it by getting on the scoresheet – as they have only failed to net in one of their last seven at home, despite losing four of those.
