Oleksandr Usyk

Usyk is a Ukrainian professional boxer with a record of 21-0, including 14 wins by KO. He has been an undisputed world champion in the cruiserweight division and is now a unified champion at heavyweight, only missing Fury’s WBC belt. He is an Olympic heavyweight champion, winning gold at the 2012 Games in London.

Usyk is listed as a 6’3” southpaw boxer with a 78” reach at the age of 37. He has a 67% KO rate over the 177 professional rounds he has completed since making his debut in 2013.

Tyson Fury

Fury is a British boxer with a professional record of 34-0-1, including 24 wins by KO so far at the age of 35. Before turning pro, Fury won an amateur English National Championship in 2008 at super-heavyweight. He has held the WBC heavyweight belt since 2020 and was a unified champion back in 2015-16 before stepping away from the sport.

Fury is listed as a massive 6’9” orthodox boxer with an 85” reach. He has a 71% KO rate over his career of 230 total professional rounds since 2008.

Usyk vs Fury Betting Preview

This Usyk vs Fury heavyweight betting analysis doesn’t do this fight any justice. This is a massive fight with a long list of factors going into it. We need to look closely at the betting lines and break down as much film on a technical level as possible if you’re betting your hard-earned money.

Starting with the boxing odds, you can get either fighter as a betting favorite depending on what sportsbook you use. We will say that Fury is the -105 betting favorite over the +105 Usyk. This bout is favored to go to a decision at -225.

The best “betting on boxing” tip for you going into this one is to look at it as a fight with EVEN odds. It’s slightly confusing why Fury isn’t the underdog, but his massive legendary aura around himself and the size advantage he has is making oddsmakers give him a lot of credit.

Usyk is the better boxer. He has better feet, conditioning, hand speed, and accuracy. Fury is open to overhands, especially against a smaller fighter when he has to go down low to land. This doesn’t seem like a good matchup for Fury at all.

Don’t count Fury out, though. He is tough, durable, and has the heart of a champion. He has come back from terrible situations in life and the ring and ended up as a champion. Fury is also seemingly in the best shape we have seen him in in the last decade.

Usyk vs Fury Betting Prediction

The Usyk vs Fury heavyweight betting analysis and preview of the betting lines still don’t help this fight be any easier to predict. The heart of Fury and the unique skill he has at such a massive size makes him the toughest test of Usyk’s career.

You should find the best odds for boxing tonight and bet on Fury to get his hand raised. This might not make sense on paper but he is the best fighter that Usyk has ever faced and Usyk isn’t any younger than he once was.

Usyk has had issues winning on scorecards at the heavyweight division; even dominant performances seem to not look so dominant from the judges’ table. The early rounds will be the deciding factor in this one.

If Fury can win the first couple of rounds, he has a good chance. If Usyk gets going early, he is going to be tough to stop when he starts finding his rhythm. This will go to a decision. Taking a DRAW at great odds is a very smart pick as well–it will be a very close, contested decision either way it goes.
